2024 Tennis Adult programming
TENNIS DOUBLES CLINICS
Free to all members, sign up to improve your doubles play/practice approach. The 60 minute clinics will be facilitated by our Tennis Pro’s and will provide doubles tips and tricks, strategy, and focus on doubles positioning. Each week a different doubles topic will be introduced.

GARNEAU DOUBLES PROGRAM
Garneau is introducing a semi competitive doubles program, where the main goal is to have fun and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Players 3.5+ are invited to sign up. Cost is $20 per player (balls will be provided).
How the league works:
The league consists of 6 teams, 4 players on each team. Games will played on Sunday evenings from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Each team will play each other and after five weeks, the program will have a winner (based on points).

EVENT THEMED SOCIALS
Date dependent. All tennis full-time members are invited to participate in social themed events hosted at Garneau. The sign-up sheet will be updated at regular intervals to include upcoming event themed socials. Access to the sheet will be granted with club membership.
INAUGURAL GARNEAU “WOODY” SOCIAL EVENT – Social/fun tennis using pre-1980’s racquets – SATURDAY, MAY 25
FRENCH OPEN TWIST – Enjoy French open inspired tennis games with hors d’oeuvres and sparkling drinks! – SATURDAY, JUNE 9
DAVIS/BILLIE KING CUP – Get your teams together and choose a country to represent! We ask that you appoint a team captain who will be responsible for collecting a $10.00 entry fee from each player. Please secure your spot by making a payment before the event. Potluck TBD – SATURDAY, JULY 1
BREAKFAST @ WIMBLEDON – This occasion will encompass engaging tennis games and a lovely breakfast featuring the classic combination of strawberries and cream. A nominal fee of $5 per person is required for entry. – SUNDAY, JULY 13
GARNEAU OLYMPIAD – Our team has planned a series of engaging on-court activities, which will be Garneau’s Tennis Pro’s. During this event, we will also be providing a lunch break to allow participants to refresh and refuel for the remainder of the day’s activities. – SATURDAY, AUGUST 17
WEEKLY TENNIS SOCIALS
Most Fridays from 6 pm – 8 pm and Sundays from 2 -4 pm. All tennis full-time members are invited to participate in social games and have some snacks & drinks. This is a great way to meet other people with similar interests! The sign-up sheet will be updated at regular intervals to include upcoming socials. Access to the sheet will be granted with club membership.

SINGLES BOX LEAGUE
Garneau will be running two iterations of our Singles Box Leagues over the summer period. Round 1 is scheduled to begin Monday, June 3. For more information, please email [email protected] or speak with our staff.
ADVANCED SINGLES HIT
Interested in improving your tennis game through drills, points with higher level Garneau players? Starting June 8, this instructor led training program will help you improve your current skill level on a variety of tennis functions: forehand, backhand, movement, volley, serve, singles strategy, doubles strategy, etc. Each 90 minute session is $20.

Please note: This event is open to all ages and skill levels for both members and non-members alike. All those in attendance will have access to the courts free of charge and we encourage non-members to come out and get a feel for the courts, meet the pros and staff, and become familiarized with our membership packages.
